Glykia -which is Greek for “sweet”- is the land of our ancestors passed
down to us through four generations… This is where we decided to
pursue our dream. According to Greek mythology, it’s where the
goddess Hera would bathe in its springs to renew her purity. During the
“Revolution of Nafplion”, it is where a great battle unfolded, as people
strove for democracy in our country. And this is where we have been
struggling time and time again, fighting our own battles day in, day out.
Our guest house, “Sweet Mary Suite” was made with love and hard
work. We hope it will make you live your myth in a town bursting with
history. Its name, as well as the name of each room, connects us to our
past and guides us to the future. We welcome you, and hope you enjoy
your stay!
By embracing eco-friendly practices in our room design, protecting our
guests’ privacy, and creating an inclusive space for people with any kind
of mobility impairment, we seek to make your stay a pleasant and
memorable one.
On the ground floor, there are two separate, two-room spaces (60
sq.m.), featuring an open concept kitchen-living room and a bedroom.
Each of them has a cozy yard, a swimming pool, a bathroom and a WC,
and both are ideal for a family wishing to enjoy a long or short vacation.
One of them is easily accessible to individuals with mobility
impairments.
A barbeque is available upon request.
On the upper floor, you will find two separate spaces, 50 sq.m. each.
Access is available both by stairs and an elevator. Both terraces have a
pool with a hot tub, and unobstructed views of the sea, the hill of
Prophet Elias and the iconic Fortress of Palamidi.
All rooms are fully equipped with electrical appliances and household
utensils, fitting your needs for an enjoyable stay. The surrounding area is
very quiet, and the guest house is only a short distance (1,800 meters)
from the historical center of Nafplion, giving you two more reasons to
choose us for your next vacation!
